I mean Sweden. Or United States? Whatever. Zach & Rebecca’s Key West Yacht Club wedding was great gathering of family and friends from Europe and US. I definitely felt the european vibe and it was not much different than traditional American-only wedding because at the end, those people were there to celebrate other people’s marriage and love and that’s what mattered. The Yacht Club venue is magnificent yet quiet and it’s becoming my favorite place for beach weddings in Key West. Beautiful setup at the harbor and wedding flowers were done by Katya and her team from Karro Events and girls from Say Yes in Key West made sure that all pieces of the wedding day puzzle came together easily. Casa Salon took great care of girls’ hair and makeup as always. Check out Rebecca & Zach’s story with few of my favorite shots from the day…
Rebecca is Swedish, and has a degree in Business. Before school, she lived in London for a few years.
Zack is a researcher at the University of Edinburgh, and has been living in Europe since 2012.
At a night club. Just a lucky coincidence. We exchanged numbers that night, but it was a couple months before the first date. Rebecca was still finishing her master’s degree in a different city.
Zack did, during a trip to Positano, Italy in the summer of 2015. We were sitting at lunch in the restaurant overlooking the beach at the hotel where we were staying, taking a break from the sun.
It wasn’t anything specific. We tried to mimic some of the details you often see in Scandinavian interior design for the decor. I suppose we were going for minimalism, you could say.
We lived there for a few months and really loved it. We also spent lots of time at the venue during that period.
We liked the candid feel of the photographs on his website.
In the near term, we still have to plan our honeymoon. The current idea is to go on a safari sometime in the winter. Longterm, stay in Edinburgh for a few years, probably start a family and later on might move back to Sweden.
It is difficult to pick only one as the whole day was just amazing.
