Family and Portrait sessions in the Florida Keys

They are bright. They are sunny. And they are fun.

Whether you’re looking to capture your Florida Keys family gathering, expecting a little one, or want fresh photos of the little ones you already have, or you’re planning to propose to your other half or maybe you’re already engaged, here is more useful info for you...

The best time of the day for photographs is an hour to an hour and a half before sunset or early morning around sunrise. The sun isn’t as harsh and also it is typically less hot. If it looks like we’re going to have a rainy day, I will work around your and my schedule and we can move your session to a different time or day. Keep in mind that the weather in South Florida changes almost hourly and what looks like a stormy day may turn into a beautiful day with a gorgeous sunset, especially in summer. During your session, we will hopefully have fun and I’ll do my best to keep it as easy as possible as I capture your photos backdropped by iconic Florida Keys scenery. We can shoot at a location of your choice or I can recommend one. For full sessions, I typically suggest sticking to two locations because while Key West is a small island, the traffic can be tremendous and parking can be a challenge sometimes. I also recommend one outfit change so you have some variety. I can travel to you anywhere in the Florida Keys and I don't charge for travel in the Lower Keys (40-mile roundtrip) for full sessions.

Within 2 weeks you will receive an invite to your secure online gallery where you can download your selection of post-processed photographs as high-resolution digital files and purchase extra photos if you'd like. All photos are "print released" which means you can share them on social media and make unlimited prints in any size.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR SESSION?

I suggest staying away from distractive patterns, big brand logos, and screaming colors (bright red, orange, green, etc.) and choosing more subtle colors and simple patterns. Pastel colors work well and you don’t necessarily have to match your partner’s or family members' colors. Wear whatever clothes you feel most comfortable in and try not to overthink them. Remember - the clothes you're wearing to your photoshoot will set the entire tone for your photos.

All delivered photographs are hand edited - straightened, cropped and color corrected to make them look pretty all the way across the entire gallery. It's like magic. ✨

Your photos will be delivered as high-resolution files (jpeg format) that you can download. As much as I enjoy the digital era, I can’t tell you how much of a difference it is to hold a printed photograph in your hand or have a canvas hanging in your living room rather than letting all your beautiful photos sit on your computer or phone. It is very easy to forget about them… The gallery I deliver the photos in offers a wide variety of high-quality print products so be sure to check them out.
