South Florida is getting warmer these days (surprise!) and sundays like today’s are perfect for some back country Florida jungle trekking/hiking. There’s a cool spot on Sugarloaf Key where the road ends and turns to a tropical hammock trail (it is here). I need to take my bike there and explore it because the trail is pretty long and it would be tough to walk when the temps start rising up. Have not seen any snakes or crocodiles (although I’m sure there are around) but we saw lots of birds and different spiders including huge banana spiders. All photos were taken with my little Fuji X100T. If you’re a hiking/trekking person and you don’t mind mosquitoes and spider webs in your face definitely check this place out.
